Mission & Purpose

For the Local Church

Ascent Seminary exists to glorify God by training men and women in the knowledge and skills necessary for service and leadership in the local church.

At Ascent, you aren’t just a student, you are a practitioner. Enacting this mission takes quality teachers and leaders who care about what happens in your everyday encounters. In order for your education to be effective, it must be more than information, it must be a pathway to honoring Christ in all we say and do.

A Launch Pad For Lifelong Ministry and Leadership

Ascent Seminary is committed to preparing students for ministry and leadership in the local church. Our aim is to begin students along the path of lifelong learning and growth, not to finish the process. No degree qualifies a person to serve, but it can be an excellent launch pad for furthering the wisdom and skills necessary for ministry.

Purposeful Training Through a Cohort Model

Our programs serve both seasoned leaders (MABL) and those just beginning their ministry journey (MABT). We offer a 36-credit curriculum delivered over three years at a manageable pace of one course per semester. Through our unique cohort model and consistent mentorship, we foster deep relationships and community for both our in-person and online students.
